meet our founder

At Suki Suki, our story starts with Lyna — a lover of all things Japanese. She has been captivated by the art, flavors, and traditions of Japan since childhood. Her dream? To bring her favorite Japanese street food, Taiyaki, to Switzerland, in both sweet and savory versions. Indeed, from the first crispy bite to the soft, flavorful inside, each treat is crafted with care and love.

it all started with a fish-shaped necklace…

When Lyna was a little girl, her grandmother gave her a special gift: a necklace with a fish-shaped charm. In her culture, the charm symbolized good luck, and it became a reminder of her family’s love. Little did she know, this gift would spark a full circle moment in her life and become a symbol for her journey into the world of Japanese food. Fast forward to discovering Taiyaki, it felt like the perfect match. Indeed, the lucky fish charm, her love for Japan, and her desire to bring authentic Japanese flavors to Switzerland all came together beautifully.
