meet our founder
At Suki Suki, our story starts with Lyna—a lover of all things Japanese who’s been captivated by the art, flavors, and traditions of Japan since childhood. Her dream? To bring her favorite Japanese snack, taiyaki, in both sweet and savory versions, to Switzerland.
it all started with a fish-shaped neeklace…
When Lyna was a little girl, her grandmother gave her a special gift: a necklace with a fish-shaped charm. In her culture, that charm symbolised good luck, and it became a reminder of her family’s love. Little did she know, this gift would spark a full circle moment in her life and become a symbol for her journey into the world of Japanese food. Fast forward to discovering Taiyakis, it felt like the perfect match—combining the lucky fish charm, her love for Japan, and her desire to bring something special to Switzerland. Now, at Suki Suki, we’re sharing that passion with you, offering up every taiyaki with a dash of love, creativity, and a whole lot of luck.
